Well I sure feel like I am going to have a surplus of cocks in my 12 birds. Lots of cooing on, and I think I may only have 2 hens but sure hoping for more.

that's what it thought at first, but I was wrong. The hens do coo a bit. But rarely dance.

oh yeah! I love it! It's like in NY, when they would fly the NY flights and capture their neighbors pigeons.. not the friendliest relationship between pigeon fanciers.

I'm just imagining someone looking at another's flock, and saying "hey, that WAS my bird!"

No, it's really so no neighbor kids goof off and open them not knowing what's inside. My breeders aren't settled for the most part, so I would lose 12 birds.

One of my babies smacked a telephone wire today, fortunately he tried to stop himself so it wasn't a hard collision. I didn't end up looking him over but I think he was fine because after a short rest he went right back to flying lol

I wonder why that attitude is not focused on, in out Inner Cities by our elected officials as some solution. What real harm can it do. I only see positive to keep young restless individuals busy with something, other than mischief on their mind. In Chicago, pigeons are banned now. That does not mean that ferals are non-existent. Still plenty of them and keeps exterminators in business

It's not stealing if pigeon comes to your loft voluntarily,,, Have better pigeons, and they will behave, be obedient,, and stay home..

On another note;; Way back in time when I used to hang with friends in the Chicago Club Pigeon Racers, this was common.
Alter a race, it was not uncommon to get one of your competitor's pigeons to return to your loft with your group. When all would meet in the clubhouse to bring in their clocks, those with the newly found birds would bring them. This was to mildly humiliate the owner of their inferior birds, (you know they snickered when handing them over) but also good sportsmanship on returning them to rightful owner as well.
