Hey guys I got a genetic question to ask you guys because I know nothing about that

These are my pigeons

well I was told that they are both ash red because of the reddish bars I guess but then they have a baby and everything is now mixed up . The baby look like them but even his bars have a mixture with the dads colour

I If you look at the wing you will see that the bars are not fully out and bars have a touch of grey colour

Can anyone tell me what colour this baby is ?
I think it's still a has red, just not as defined as the parents, yet. It might not out looking like one of the other.

Remeber, pigeons carry dominant and recessive genes. So what you see isn't always what you get, when you breed them.

They actually really are, lol. The loft is covered in feathers. That's why Cyril has those awkward feathers on his neck below his head. It's weird, but they seem to start growing feathers on the neck, then they stop and fall out.
 
Well guys, I lost both my squabs right at fledging. I think it was the heat combined with young parents that got them, so I’ve decided to take eggs until it gets cooler, that way it lets the parents get a bit older too
Don't just keep taking, eggs. Replace the ones you remove with fake plastic ones. If you just keep removing them, pigeons will keep laying more. Pigeons are not like chickens. It takes a lot out of a pigeon to produce an egg.
I am not sure you are aware of this, so I am posting this for others to read, and learn from also.
