I remember when you just had a few! That’s an awesome flock you have now.

These two were missing for an entire week but beat my streak of poor luck and came back separately today.

Their older brother has been making them better fliers while their parents get started on the next generation.

Wow, so glad they came back!!!
How old are the squabs? I swear, I go out almost daily with leg bands, to see who is in the right stage to put one on. Lol

They are five and six days old. I do the same thing and just repeat until the band stays on, but I always find that the parents throw the bands out of the nest if they fall off lol

Do Olive and Skittles get along well?

Skittles like Olive more than the reverse but they get along fine. Olive still prefers people, though for about a year now she has been bonded to someone else in the house and doesn't like me touching her anywhere near her cage; she's fine in other places, but she's very protective of that space. She doesn't act territorial toward Skittles, but doesn't usually let her sit with her on the nest, so Skittles will sit a few inches away.

The two still sleep in the same cage at night and do not fight. They have preened each other before, but I haven't seen them do it in a few weeks, and now they tend to keep a bit of distance. I'm not sure why.

View attachment 2769925I saw this banded pigeon with a flock of ferals. The poor guy was limping, he had a messed up toe. Any tips on catching him?
By far the easiest way would be to catch them when they’re sleeping, but if he’s hanging with ferals it could be in a very inaccessible place. He seems pretty tame if you got that close, maybe a big net? You could even try the old trick propping a box up with some food underneath and pulling it down with a string when he goes under.
