Pigeon Talk

That loft shows just how serious fanciers are about pigeons!:lau

Very lucky! You are better equipped than me.:D

One other thing @hokumcoco told me - don't make your loft taller than you can reach or you will have trouble catching your birds.:)

My loft is 4w x6l x6h and fwiw you can see some pics while my brother was building it for me...

Some shots of the property before the loft. Very little space on the ground but a huuuuge expanse of roof that they love!.

I'm real happy with the flight pen I added recently...

What size are these? And are they working out ok? They look larger/wider than I have envisioned.

Equipment is just stuff, that doesn't make for knowledge! You have a ton of knowledge and have helped me numerous times! :) I'm missing a bird (again) 4 days:(

Those were meant to be box style perches 12in wide and 10 high. By mistake my brother made them 10 wide and 12 high and the birds seemed to prefer these t-perches I made. So I removed those box perches.

 Hoping for a safe return. :fl

Ah ok. I think I like the t-perches or v-perches better myself. :p (hopefully my birds will agree!)
Even though they are directly above each other with no protective 'V', they don't seem to get pooped on. These seem easy for the birds and I like the simplicity.:D

Looks nice too. I wonder if a slanted poop board under the bottom row would roll the poop to one pile. Might have to play with that possibility. Even if it sticks to the board, it might be easier to scrape to the lowest end for quicker cleanup. lol
