I came across these photos of Doo learning to fly in the bathroom. He was less than a month old but look at those wings!

So, do you clean up her droppings? Or does she have a diaper? This is the first pigeon I have ever interacted with closely, and so I am not familiar with them otherwise to know for sure whether her behavior suggests she is happy, but I think it is. She struts around the floor, and flies around to all the high vantage points. She does not make much noise at all unless I start whistling, and then she will coo very quietly - more like a "hoo hoo hoo hoo", like a distant owl. She steps up and eats from my hand and was very excited to splash around this morning in the bath. And just today she has started to come over to me (on my head a couple times) and stand on the arm rest of my chair, peering at what I am doing. In the cage (only in it to sleep), she lets me pet her and does not try to move away or bite or wing slap me, so I think she enjoys it, but outside she stays just out of reach of my hands, unless she is eating seeds out of them.
So sweet!I came across these photos of Doo learning to fly in the bathroom. He was less than a month old but look at those wings!

She looks very happy!Olive has begun flying to me and landing on or next to me on her own accord. We alternate cooing... Or rather, she coos, I do a sort of vaguely coo-like whistle. And she took a bath today. View attachment 1674603 View attachment 1674604 View attachment 1674608
I run the vacuum every morning. They don't stain or splat. Just neat pellets basically... House birds aren't for everyone but she is much tidier than a parrot! So, do you clean up her droppings? Or does she have a diaper?
Ok. What about on furniture and such? You are a better home for her than meI run the vacuum every morning. They don't stain or splat. Just neat pellets basically... House birds aren't for everyone but she is much tidier than a parrot!
