Pigeon Talk

Nice! How far was it? Was Boomer one of them?
No. It was #62, 67 & 68 my three singletons! I think boomer would be fine with it but I really don't want to risk losing him. This is why I need a bigger loft. I have 5 pairs that I'm happy to breed with and just loft fly. I could increase my numbers very quickly and get more tosses in. It was only about 4 miles, so not that far really but it gives them a further view out of town. It's such a good feeling when they all appeared together! :)

Sorry about that. Sounds like the judges were definitely not as experienced as they should have been. Is there another show coming up that your going too?

Probably not gonna do more until the Fall :) Shows are better when the birds aren't in breeding pens; they look better and are easier to prep for show.

I was just looking for a pigeon anniversary cake...but found this instead!

This is my lot!

I really like wild-type pigeons, they are so athletic and beautiful, but there is also something just a little.... i don't know, threatening? About their longer faces and their eyes with the little pupils and light irises. Like I look at my bird and she is dainty and soft and has fancy hair, that short little beak and big dark eyes, she is like a cocker spaniel and those pigeons are like wolves. Both of them are pretty and elegant but... the wolf is a bit more to handle! If that makes sense lol.
