Pigeon Talk

Thank you! Seriously, I love their color/ pattern, grey griizzle with lacing on the wings. They remind me of one of my favorites, lost to a predator last year...
Sorry that you lost that one, it was a beautiful bird. In fact, it looks quite a bit like their mother.

@backyard pigeons They're 6 weeks.
He's very bold. There's a number of them here but one is especially fearless and I always catch it sneaking into the shed when its open during the day trying to steal my gloves and rags, for all I know its the same one. As long as he doesn't try breaking into the actual loft I don't mind him messing around on the roof and cleaning up spilled feed.

Yep! I think so! I can't wait for some babys!

and guess what! We're looking into getting a free chicken coop 7 miles away from us. We're seeing how much it will be to move it. It's 10×8 with a 3 ft porch, so 7×8 inside. I would section it off in two. It would be replacing this thing.:sickView attachment 1795724

That's very exciting! I'm sure you will be getting a whole team of young birds out of those hens. The coop sounds like it would work great for you too, I hope you get it.

Ask and you shall receive :lol: #71 is Frodo, #72 is Sam. These two are quite fast learners, I'm planning on taking it slow with letting them out but I don't expect them to give me any trouble.View attachment 1795452

Mr. Chipmunk paid them a visit today which I'm not sure if I like. We have an abundance of feeders here so they're pretty common, this one in particular is fearless. They get along well with the wild doves but what concerns me more is disease. Regardless, the chipmunks cant get into the actual loft so these encounters should end as soon as these two are flying.

Beautiful birds! I want a chipmunk!
Well... I talked to the president of my racing pigeon club, and told him I needed a few hens. He said to come on over. I went, expecting to come home with three hens, came home with 8! :th:eek::idunno
That's one way of dealing with all your males! At least that will keep them happy. You won't be able to fly them for a while but at least you won't have to go far to retrieve any!
