Hopefully you did not get bit by one of those dvlz.:old
Anyone not familiar with BROWN RECLUSE,,,, Just ask.

Is clipping wings on ducks something that peeps do???:idunno
Their wings can be clipped, some people will keep them clipped at all times. I will clip them before I let new ones out to free range after quarantine. Just so they cant fly until they are familiar with runnin loose here, I let em regrow after.

Yea some folks do. That would be a good reason to do it. I haven’t yet, but I haven’t brought in any adults that could already fly. Mine learn their bearings as babies, so as adults they tend to stay close. And I prefer to let them keep the ability to fly to avoid predators if necessary.

Pinioning, on the other hand, is something that is also done, which I whole heartedly disagree with.

I agree with pinioning. It is cruel and unnecessary.

Yeah, the only time I clipped any was I got my first batch from Raven.. all the rest have hatched amd grown here so I havent felt the need to clip them. I like for them to able to fly for the same reason since they free range day and night..
Agree 100% on the pinioning! Nasty buisness that! :barnie

I miss Ravyn. I hope she is ok.

so, I was typing, but then had to do something and never got to finished! I was saying, I had watched maney lofts last night, and the big change is exciting! do you think he will purchase the land? He could expand his setup very large!
Lol, yes I saw. ... So far Maney has done what he said he would. I have lost count of his loft rebuilds -each an improvement on the previous. So I guess I believe there is a good chance he will get the property for a real expansion. Perhaps income from the yt channel helps, he seems to spend a lot of money on the pigeons.:) JMO
