Pigeon Talk

Lol, yes I saw. ... So far Maney has done what he said he would. I have lost count of his loft rebuilds -each an improvement on the previous. So I guess I believe there is a good chance he will get the property for a real expansion. Perhaps income from the yt channel helps, he seems to spend a lot of money on the pigeons.:) JMO
Yes, I am enjoying his videos very much. And yes, he does spend lots of money on his pigeons. :)

Seems that my bird of prey issues won't end.
I've been seeing this peregrine falcon daily for a while and today he finally took a shot at my lone young bird. He was flying tight circles in the yard as per usual when the falcon, which was several hundred feet up, suddenly stooped and came barreling down out of the sky. Fortunately in a stroke of luck Mr. Frodo was already coming in for a landing on the loft and I think once the falcon saw me and the tight quarters it had to work with it decided against it, circled around a bit, then left.
My birds haven't had much intetest in flying anywhere besides the perimeter of my yard for ages now and I think surely if one of mine had been in the open sky the peregrine would have won.

Peregrines are the WORST of the hawks for pigeons! Please keep Frodo in for at least a bit?

oh wow! I'm so glad he got away. Here is what i would do, wait till you have at least 5-6 birds to fly, so that they will be safer while flying with numbers.

I know you mentioned expanding your loft, what if you made an aviary so they can get a bit of exercise if they can't fly?
