Pigeon Talk

@WVduckchick , @biophiliac @backyard pigeons and anyone else who may have input!
Alice or Ralph one, have kicked one egg out of the nest and broke it..:(
Candled the other and put it back for now.. but Im concerned. The air cell is on the side and larger than I would expect it to be at this stage... if it were a chicken or duck egg.. is this normal for pigeon eggs or should I toss it and let em try again? :pop

wait one more day! Isn't it only on day two if that's the one that's laid a bit later? I don't think it looks fertile, but I would wait wait one more day. They always seem to have an oversized air sak, Idk why...

But bummer, I'm sorry about the issues your having... They will start again real soon I'm sure.

How cold can they go? I know there are some members here who keep them outside through the winter without heat and it gets in the teens...
If acclimated they can survive that but I wouldn't try it myself.

Oh and this happened today too. She's not being bitey anymore and let me look at it. It looks like it got rolled in mess though and I don't know how id try to clean it off.

Rosie really spruced up the place by adding about six whole sticks he found on the ground.

The egg looks infertile to me. How long have they been incubating it? It should hatch in 19+- days and near the finale days the eggs is black when you try to candle it.
