Migrating Cooper's hawk came through the yard today and scattered the birds at the feeder. It followed some doves out of the yard while this chickadee flew in a panic into the side of my parked car.

Fortunately he didn't hit it hard and after I moved him to a safe spot to gain his bearings he rested and flew off- right back to the feeder lol.

Cooper's hawk was back again today.
This was early this morning and my phone does pretty poorly in low light, but you can sort of make out the adult hawk sitting on the plastic roof. They have been doing this pretty regularly in the past few weeks. I assume these are either migrating or young and very hungry hawks.

The weather has been pretty on and off lately but today it was about 65 degrees which is something like 18 Celsius. After today it will go back to being cold with a lot of snow forecasted for the week, so I thought today would be a nice day to let the birds enjoy a bath.
