She's a '19 mostly white grizzle and actually reminds me a lot of the last white bird I had who was very beautiful and sweet. I still don't know if I want to build up a flock of homers again but at least now I have the option if I do. She's supposedly from very good stock.
If I'm able to find a nice pair of Dutch capuchines I might pick those up too we'll have to see but I'm very satisfied with this purchase
she is gorgeous! Very nice. I'm glad she got to you safe and sound
She's beautiful! I was recently given a white grizzle very similar to her. Where did you get her from?
you did! We need pictures. :)

These two were given to me by Marcos, who I got my original birds from. I had a white grizzle hen that got caught by a hawk. This white grizzle is looking more and more like a cockbird, unfortunately. He's pretty though.

You are going to get some spectacular looking birds out of that pair!
I know :D I don't know if I want to build up another flock of homers or not but I definitely think I will let them breed a few rounds to better homeset my new addition in case she should escape. It's very peaceful and quiet with just one or two birds versus 4 cockbirds all fighting :)

Edit: wow, he's a beaut !

IKWYM! I always have a surplus of cockbirds so guaranteed drama. LOL My ideal is a flock of hens only.

And thanks, wish him luck finding a mate.

they are beautiful. I love seeing the pigeon community help each other out. How many birds do you have? Your flock is getting quite diverse in color, isn't it?

with those pretty colors, he shouldn't have a problem.

Would this be fine as a regular grit or is this meant to be an oyster shell replacement? I give them this purplish poultry grit at the moment but I finally am about to run out and it would be convenient if this worked. I have oyster shell anyway but I need a regular grit.

Anyone know when parents stop brooding the babies :/ Wallace & Soup haven't been sitting on the baby once since I got home at 4 this afternoon, it's now eight. Right now the heat is on at 70 but it'll drop to 60-62 whithin hrs of turning off said heatand the baby only just started getting pin feathers :/ they still act semi protective but don't seem to want to sit on said baby, only stand above it if at all.

So cool that someone contacted you about your boy!! As I was reading to catch up, I was thinking I bet he broke away from the others to lure a predator away. His new girlfriend is gorgeous! I’m so happy for you.
(although I was secretly hoping you’d end up with some Sats.) :D
