Pigeon Talk

Yes, its doing just fine! I have locked all birds in due to hawk season so im not sure how it would do free flying. Im glad yours are doing good sitting. I have an egg due to hatch in a week or so (the other egg was infertile) and then two squabs about 2-3 weeks old.
Yep! I see the female on the nest more than the male, but he may sit all day while I’m gone. He sleeps very close by too.

Is your little non-flyer still doing well? Flight restored and all?

As in everything, individuals differ - I had one lazy guy who would only sit from about noon to 3:30pm. They still manage to raise young.

Yes. It's just abbreviated. I've been considering it ever since @biophiliac called me it a while back! I hope your pigeon is doing well after the attack.
I was wondering if I could take credit, I've always thought of you that way. It just rolls off the tongue easier!:D
:highfive:

@biophiliac do you have chickens also?

My first birds ever were 8 chicks I purchased at a local hatchery on hatch day in 2016. I became fascinated with them and was very sad when I had to rehome them (to join a pet flock on a local farm). I kept them in a coop that was going unused in my neighbor's yard until she decided that chickens no longer fit her plans for the garden.
