Pigeon Talk

Hi slorider! What type of pigeons do you have? Good job making a site. There needs to be more pigeon websites.
I have racing homers. Nothing too spectacular and these first birds are going to be more as hobby birds so I can learn about keeping them healthy, breeding, and training. When I'm ready to actually race I'll probably get some young birds from some guys in my club. They are super cool and seem like a great resource.

Glad you liked the site. I've been having a bit of a hard time getting info so I wanted to have a place to collect what I find.

I took Java and Shadow’s infertile eggs. I feel so bad, that have sat so well. :hit

And I caught Bonnie & Clyde “making out”.
I was a little far away, so the camera is zoomed and not so steady as I was squatted down trying not to bother them lol
I feel dirty. :gig

Such tenderness! :love Are they not different than chickens? I had to give away my cockerels before they reached mating age.:hmm

Actually it seems pretty similar to chickens mating. Once he gets balanced, the male is pretty quick! But the pigeons are definitely more loving afterward. Roosters are like wham bam thank ya ma’am....see ya!

'Making out' hell - they did the deed. Eggs in 10 days or so.
