They are beautiful! If I get to chose color I would want ones that look like yours only with the fan tail

You have captured some great shots! The time lapse to my camera actually recording from the time I press the button makes me so frustrated.

Duff reminds me of mine drinking raindrops off the steel kennel wires.

I wish you would post even more pictures of your flock!!!

It will probably come down to what I can find access to. I am partial to the gray colors and black and white.

I've got a pair that have been getting friendly. Hoping to have some eggs soon. I'm building a new loft and I'll have some actual nesting boxes in there. It's been raining a ton so hoping to wrap up the new left in the next couple of days.

That's gonna be a nice loft! Or is already.. I'm way behind..

I took Java and Shadow’s infertile eggs. I feel so bad, that have sat so well.

And I caught Bonnie & Clyde “making out”.
I was a little far away, so the camera is zoomed and not so steady as I was squatted down trying not to bother them lol
I feel dirty.

They really are much nicer about the whole process than roosters.

Also, not to boast or anything... But it's 69 here!!! Is it still below zero for you biophiliac? How about others?

Ive had company since last Sat... been a bit hectic here..but Im back..

Enjoy! Have 29°F now, below zero lows the next 2 nights, worse is the dreaded east wind. This is the side of the loft that faces east...

Above the settling cage under the roof is covered with 1/4 inch hardware cloth. During the summer I removed the netting that kept the birds from accessing that area and two 2018 birds made it their permanent roost. It was very comfortable in the summer but I knew it would be too drafty in winter. I put clear plastic over the west side since the wind is usually from the west or northwest. Recently we have had some winds from the east and I have scurried to rig a last minute wind block. I think I'd better just cover most of the east side with clear plastic too. I was hoping they would move into the main loft when it got cold but they persist in staying in the 'attic'. After the two coldest nights of the polar vortex, I found them the next night roosting down in the loft proper - only the one night though.

Would care and maintenance be any different than any other pigeon?
Am I insane for thinking maybe a pair of these could live harmoniously in my call duck palace with a few modifications?
Are they insanely priced?
I'm going to search Craig's list right now to see if there is any for sale in my area

Oh ya. . I kinda forgot the way the parents feed their young.
Yeah. . I probably don't want to hand raise them.
And yes I definitely want to look for Indian fantails.
I don't like the ones that hold their heads all cocked back and their chests really high
It just looks weird.

It does kinda grow on you. I am getting to like it.
