Pigeon Talk

I was up all night last night with my newborn, he's all stopped up from all of this pollen. He slept great. I just kept waking up to clear his nose and check on him. Eventually I gave in and let him sleep with me.

12 and I are going to town today to get feed and hay. Slight stall on our build. My DH May be home early again today if the fires in the plants haven't quit. They can't weld with the fires that close. Good and bad thing there.

I'll probably be picking up some paint and some more wire while we're out too. Just in case.

Don't know if i mentioned it but that is 4x4x4 on both sides. Really all we have left is wire, landing pads and traps, perches, and whatever else.

Nice! Can you tell all your birds apart?

I'm not sure about the green poop. I wouldn't be concerned if she seems healthy.
I admit I get some of the bluebars mixed up, have to check the band to be sure.:hmm

Awww! Does Doba get in the bath when the others do?

The green poop is very green! Maybe a lot of peas? It looks like healthy poop, other than the color. :p

Doba is in there but behind the 2x4. At the very start her white tail with no bar sticks up from behind it.

There have been no greens fed since some romaine 5 days ago.

I had an early doc appointment this morning (just a follow up visit, no problem) so I had to leave early. Had to wake the babies to feed them. Brick looked and ate great. Brewer’s crop was smaller, but not empty. I didn’t have time to ask here, so I mostly just gave him feed-flavored water. Not nearly as thick as yesterday, plus some plain water. I massaged the crop some too, so I hope he digests it better today.

Sounds like your doing everything right, EXCEPT we need more pics! :)

:D

I did get a couple horrible ones of Bonnie/Clyde’s new one.
I had picked out Charm and Chance, or Cosmo and Cloud as names, but since only one made it, I think this one will be “Chance”.

Don't ask! We had words about them the other night. They're still here! :th
You might have to make a few slowly disappear over a wk or two...:lau:oops:
Stopping point for the day. The guys were tired and I had supper ready.
Looks great! :clap
Been there, done that!

@backyard pigeons - bath day here too...

@casportpony What are your thoughts on this green poop...

This hen has no signs of illness that I can discern and her poop has been abnormal for many months. It varies from lt brown/beige to various shades of green, this being the greenest. That's a pigeon footprint in the sample. lol Others please feel free to chime in too.:)
Love bath time videos! :love
No idea about the green poop, looks like goose poop tho.:sick

Not yet, but they will be :p I might leave them in the loft alone until they have their first chicks.
Im glad caught the girl! :woot
Oh I was checking to see if anything may have hatched under Shadow and Java yet and noticed an egg had been rolled out of the nest. It was cold. Thank goodness it was an early quitter. Not much real growth at all. So I’m guessing the other should hatch soon, if it’s going to.

Hope the other one hatches!

I like Chance! That's a good name!

Homers are in! I was looking them over and the two cock birds have 2019 bands on. One hen doesn't have a band. The other has a 2016 band.

So at the chance they're not officially paired (especially because they aren't flying well....) I put them on either side of the cage. I'm going to put the pouters in the cage they came out out of until I get my second loft built.
