The cage arrived damaged with the zipper attaching the bottom panel missing and the zipper track shredded so a zipper couldnt be fit on it anyway. I will have to put it on something else and it wont be self contained. Contacted Amazon about it.

No reply yet but after a lot of frustrating trial, I got the bottom on. I had to cut a zipper off another old bag and cut the damaged part of the zipper track off, then spend an hour fidgeting with it until I got the zipper to fit over both damaged sides.Then I could zip it up, but because both sides were damaged, it started unzipping at the ends. So I then clipped them in place and hot glued the heck out of the whole track to permanently fit the bottom panel on. I wont be able to take the bottom off now but it is secure and maybe I can put some wood shavings in the bottom instead of having to keep it on a sheet.

She's set up in her new house. She has about 4 times the floor space and enough room to flap her wings freely. Olive checked it out and the two sat together unprompted for about 30 seconds but ultimately olive didn't want to stay in there with her.

That's a shame. I haven't had a problem returning stuff to amazon. They just email a return label and I post it back. I had to reorder though.

@CCUK when did you get fantails? I must have missed something. They're beautiful!

I 'accidentally' bought them at auction on Tuesday! They are beauties. They were in a bit of a state as in covered in poop and looking a bit perky. I've had them on 4in1 since Tuesday and they are doing great. I put a bath in for them and they stood in it but didn't wash so I misted them with the hose and they loved it.

Nearly clean but 10 times better!

They've been doing so well together out of their cages I've decided to see how they do caged together. Rosie is a different bird when around Olive and coos and explores and is much calmer around me. There has been no pecking even over food today.

I saw Rosie briefly do a little courting behavior toward Olive. She lowered her head a bit and did some muffled burbling coos and followed her. It looked like what a male would so but really toned down and quiet. Olive does the same thing to me if I've been away for a few hours... Though if Rosie is aactually a cock her name is a bit silly.
