Thats a nice pig.
The fencing you have is just like mine but mine is 6ft tall...Do you have a problem with him trying to break out?

Get another cut little piggy and you will forget all about that 50 lbs of bacon walking around.

Well I have got started on the eletric fencing and its going great have about half of the field done. When I was putting in the T-post I was thinking about how to make a swallow for the pigs and making it keep the water and mud in it with out it leaving? If you have suggestions please let me know.

Thanks,

They really don't need a wallow unless it's crazy hot and they don't have enough shade. Pigs actually like to be clean and only wallow around in the mud to cool off and protect themselves from sunburn and biting insects. They do love to root around though and the holes they make will often fill up in wet climates.

I use a big plastic drums cut in half. I don't know what their original purpose is, but they are like 50-gallon blue plastic drums. You can get them at an Ag store for about $30. One drum makes 2 dishes- 1 for feed and 1 for water. They work well and are really sturdy. They have to be to have withstood the assaults of 3 full grown pigs that I had.

Same here. Only thing I had to do because our pig likes to move them is mount the drum ends to the hog panels. Drilled holes and threaded rope through and tied em up. Otherwise she dumps.water after her first drink.

Alright thanks alot.
Im in South Florida so the summers get hot and there lots of bugs during the day and night.

Thanks,

They will make their own... no need to worry about that! You may need to fill it with water in the summer months though if it doesn't rain.
