I was moving my young showgirl rooster today (16 weeks) and discovered that he has a small pimple looking bump on his neck, that looks like it may be puss filled. I also believe I may have saw a single flea or lice crawl across his neck but couldn’t find it again/see any more. He also has a small dent in his beak that looks dirty, though that I’m less worried about. Any idea what this could be/the proper course of action? He is behaving completely regularly and it’s just showed up in the last day or two and he’s now isolated. Any help would be appreciated!

I answered your newer thread about this.

I would tread with something like betadine or vetericyn and anti biotic ointmen.

It’s often easier to track with a single thread.
I’m sure knowledgeable folks will respond soon.

hello all, sorry for the confusion! This is a photo of the spot yesterday, approximately 4 days after the first photos were taken. We have tried iodine but that didn’t seem to react very well.

Curious, how did this turn out? I too am seeing bumps on my showgirl chicks neck and have been looking for answer. I plan on landing one tomorrow to see what’s going on.
