Pinch me I'm dreaming. **finished structure post 39**

May I recommend Johnsville Sand. http://www.johnsvillesandandgravel.com/ They gave us a good deal on our pool sand.

Also, a fellow in Star City sells truck load shavings for about $15. The Drew County Fair Board is getting our shavings from him. Brian Gibson, local ALPC inspector, suggested him. Can get the number if you need it.

On another note, we have made an offer on a couple of acres on 425 north. Cross your fingers. If we get it, we will reopen the farm stand next season. Be a great place to sell coops, chickens etc.

Sooo, back to you: Remember Drew Foam has the surplus #2 sheets cheap. They are 4x8 1/2" thick. Just go in the front door, tell them what you want, make payment and drive around back to pick up. Be great to insulate the brooder/incubator room.

You soooooooo deserve this! After using whatever pens you could find: hutches, used coops, cattle panel hoops...... yep, you so deserve this! can'twait to see the finished product. Maybe a 4-H tour when you are done?

Thanks Jim, I'll keep all that in mind, especially the part about how deserving I am!

LOL I would love to get the number for the folks with the shavings. Hope you get your land. I hope its a little higher than where you are now. Will you have to get NPIP certified all over again, after you move?

Anyway, here's a pic of the dirt work getting started the hard way. I just don't understand the way this door was put together, with a little bottom rail, don't they think you will ever want to drive in and out? How long before the shavings get it hung up? How long before you bend it over until you can't open or close the doors? Oh, well, I'll take that up with the Smith Steel Guy.

I think the little bottom rail is designed to sit on top of the flooring. You know, level with the flooring (like a concrete floor).

Anyway, it is beautiful. Hope you have enjoy it for many many years!

Between the heat and getting the high tensile electric fence on the north pasture to get the sheep on it, the "show barn" has languished. We are now with cooler weather, getting started on the dirt work, but of course, it coincides with show season, so half my weekends are already taken. Hopefully, it will start to progress shortly!
