I have an Easter Egger hen that lays pink/tan eggs. Does she still carry the green egg gene? What would come of crossing her with a dark egger?

No. She does not carry the BLUE egg gene. There are white eggs. Then there are brown eggs which result in an overlay of brown pigment over a white egg. The shade of brown is determined by how much brown pigment the bird has available, based on her breed and the point of her laying cycle. Then there are blue eggs. The blue egg gene is dominant. So, if your pullet does not have any shade of blue in her egg, she does not carry that gene and can't pass it forward. Green, aqua and olive eggs come from a bird that carries the blue gene, who also has brown pigment available. The shade of the egg varies according to how much brown pigment she has to spread over the blue shell.
