I think my current circumstances are forcing me to throw in the towel on my Pink Egg Project. With no previous discussion my landlord told me he is selling the property and I have till the end of next month to beat it! Between my Oriental and PE Project I think it makes more sense to try and keep dual purpose birds. So I think I am going to sell out my crested Khaki's too and try and keep the Muscovy and Orientals.
I haven't totally decided yet

Are you sure he can legally do that on such short notice? Around here they have to give you at least 30 days. A week and a half is not enough and I'd bet probably illegal in most states. My sister's previous landlord was physcho and evicted her with 24 hour notice because they didn't like where she'd locked up her bicycle for the night...my sister complied because it was a horrible situation and she was afraid of what the landlord would do to her things if she didn't. She sought legal aid afterwards. They told her that she could have fought it if she refused the illegal eviction order, but because she complied she didn't have a case. It's one of those things you have to know your rights in time to use them. We didn't have the opportunity to research it in time because we were frantically moving her out. Since you have more time, you really should look into it and make sure the landlord has notified you according to local law.

I wondered that too....re-read carefully and saw end of NEXT month, so 6 weeks. Still stinks, but that's renting.

Yes and I am relieved to say I don't have to give it up. I was already thinking about moving to my families horse ranch 3 hours away but really didn't like that idea. However thoughts change and now it is already being built.
Here is the first half of the chicken runs. I still have to build 5 more runs and 2 duck yards and 2 goose yards.

I know I need to get better picture of it. They are 8x16 with 4x4 coops, 2 ft no see base and pvc hoop row tops. I will get better pics and a vid soon.

Congrats on the new buildings! They look awesome. I am glad you don't have to give up your birds after all!
