Pink eggs!

Pics

Neat thread. If I were going to start trying to breed for pink I'd probably start with several Plymouth Rock and light brahma hens and selectively choose which I'd breed based on pinkness of their eggs. MAYBE some sussex & faverolle too but I like the darker more mauve/tan pink personally and I think their eggs are lighter/creamier so not sure if I'd use them. My faverolle's egg is nowhere near pink but some say they lay pink eggs. (All this based solely on this thread and additional reading I've done. I've only had experience with one pink layer-the L. Brahma- and like I said her pink egg is random.)

One of my Delaware hens lays a very pink egg! I love different colored eggs! I'd love to get some olive eggers! I can't now, I have too many chickens and too many eggs! Maybe in a couple of years. ;)
Nice! Seems a few others have mentioned their Delewares laying pink as well. They are pretty birds regardless!
