Pink eggs!

I have 4 RSLs and only Peach lays pink ones, so don't count on RSLs for pink eggs! We just got lucky. :D

On another note it's interesting to see that Barred Rocks, Black Australorps and New Hampshire Reds will sometimes/often lay pinkish eggs; we got 5 chicks last month and we have one of each of those! Add 2 Easter Eggers and we should have a pretty colorful egg basket coming. :love

I'm glad you found info on this thread useful! I have researched a great deal to accumulate a list of easily accessible breeds that CAN POTENTIALLY lay pink eggs bc I wanted to know. The idea behind this thread was to consolidate people's actual personal experiences (not just what they've heard or read) into one place for others to view. WOOHOO!

Thank you thread contributors! Keep those experiences coming. I want to make this the go to source for us in search of potential pink layers. Who gave you your pink eggs? (FYI-No I was not a cheerleader. Just super enthusuatic about chickens apparently:ya)

If you want pink eggs you must have Langshans! They lay amazing pink eggs every day and are very beautiful black birds. Heres a pic of some Langshan eggs

Wow those are beautiful! Where did you get your langshans? I've read it's the croad langshan that lay the pretty eggs but that most hatchery langshan aren't the same variety therefore you don't get the pretty bloom with their eggs. I have yet to see anything but hatchery langshan for sale here so I was reluctant to buy with the expectation of pink eggs.
