I hope your little one is alright in there. I am sure she is. I will confess that I made mine a slightly larger hole. She was very quiet and it had been so long....I needed visual verification that she was good. Since no one else has even pipped I figured that quickly pulling her out, making the hole larger, then putting her back, couldn't hurt too bad. Glad I did....now I can see her tiny little beak and she looks great.

Alright, birdboy, I got stronger stuff than coffee.....but are you under age? If so, it is just coffee for you!!!!

i know i just walk to my bator for the 15th time in 10 mins...lol and i'm only on day 17

and my last hatch my eggs didn't pip or peep till day 20!!

why couldn't they pop out on day 18

LOL....yes birdboy, you defiinitely have as much patience as I. I am almost afraid this little lady (yes, that's right, little LADY) is going to be alone for awhile. There is still nothing from any other egg. I need to find a chicken that lays clear eggs!!!!!! That way, I would know exactly what is going on in them!

You had a pretty good hatch, didn't you, oldtimegator? I just want it to be over!!!

Oh you must be going crazy.

I hope "she" comes out soon now.

I am on day 23 and couldn't help myself; I candled them!

Now I am SO freaked out, because in one of the eggs, there are two little pips. Well, one's a definate little pip (if you can call it that, the crack goes all the way to the outside) and I think the other is just an inner pip. I don't know if the chicks still alive. Should I open the egg??
The other two had no pips and I didn't see anything moving either. Oh this is so nerve wrecking.

Congrats on your pip and part of a zip!

That's so exciting!!! It seems like the noisiest one hatches first so they can be the cheer leader for the rest of them. They walk around inside the bator cheering the other ones on! PEEP, PEEP! PEEP, PEEP! Sending you lots of good hatching vibes!

Oh, then I definitely wouldn't give up, goatkeepers. Now, I KNOW there are many who will disagree with me but here goes anyway. Last hatch my humidity was very low. The babies were literally glued in one spot in their eggs. The only way I found out was that one was able to pip and she just managed to get lucky. Sooooo.....I got a flat head screwdriver and a heavy handled knife (very professional tools, you see...LOL) and I candled to find the aircell. I put the screwdriver on the egg and tapped the handle lightly until it cracked (figured there was less danger of hurting the baby this way). If I hadn't I would have lost every single one.....as it turned out, I lost 2 out of 12. So, obviously you have to make the final decision, but I am not opposed to helping them when I can.

I hope you get some little fuzzies after all!!!
