Pipd's Peeps!

Pics
Hey pipd!last night, I was flipping trough some of this threads old pages and saw cute little crashie duckling.she was so tiny!i like seeing the pictures of her in he water.'eubber ducky mode'and, what was it?'tornado?'oh well, what every it was. It was really cute!

Haha, yes, she sure was a cutie! :) Well, she still is a cutie, but there's something about ducklings. They're concentrated cuteness. :love

Sorry I haven't been on much this week, y'all! Tough week! I had my first physics exam today, and for all the work I put in practicing, I am *hoping* it didn't go too badly! I did almost forget to answer a question--fortunately I checked through the exam before turning it in and caught it. Unfortunately, I realized as I was walking out that I did it wrong (I added something I should have subtracted), but it was too late by then. UGH! Fingers crossed that the rest of it went okay, anyway! :fl

The mosquitoes are absolutely terrible at the moment, so I haven't spent much time with the girls except when I'm getting the coops opened or closed. Cazzie has started coming to me to be held when I crouch and hold my hands out for her, such a big sweetheart! :love And the young Dorkings have been such loves lately, waiting at my feet together for their attention. They're so big now that I can't pick them both up together, so they have to wait turns.

Speaking of Dorkings, my precious Elly-Welly has gone into milt and is being grumpy. Well, as grumpy as Dorkings ever get, which is not much. Both of the Partridge Rocks are molting as well, and everyone is giving them plenty of space to avoid the attitudes they've got. And as for attitudes, Marka has gone full broody now. I had to pull her from the nest in the corner and put her on the perches tonight. Oh, boy!

Anyway, I have some homework this weekend, but not too much, so MAYBE I'll slap on some bug spray and see about some pictures. :D

Sad news this morning. :( Rosie passed away in the night. It was kind of expected, but also a little unexpected. I knew she was going to go, but I thought I had a little more time to say goodbye. I've been so busy this week that it's been a couple days since I just held her to stroke her feathers and tell her how much I loved her... Ah, I thought I was done crying already, but I guess not yet.

Rest in peace, little lady. :( Couldn't decide which picture I liked the most to post for her. She was such a little spitfire.

She had a wonderful life and was loved and well care for.

Thanks, y'all, it's been a tough week. Not only for that, but now Gus isn't acting right. I was at class pretty much all day yesterday, so I don't know when this started, but as of at least this morning, he's lethargic, stands around all hunched up, and has little interest in food. It occurred to me that I never introduced the silkied Cochins to our soil slowly like I do with chicks as a coccidiosis preventative, and it's been cool and rainy, so I started the four of them on Corid in case he's having Cocci issues. So far, the other three are totally fine, so I don't know. I had to wet feed down with some Corid water and make Gus eat tonight because he was piled with the other little Cochins for bed with a completely empty crop. I hate to take him away from his buddies (especially when they're getting so close to integration into the flock), but I might just have to clean out the pen Rosie was in and bring him in. Fortunately, homework has slowed down a bit at the moment, so I have a little more time to focus on him when I'm not at class.

I did try to take pictures like I said I would (almost a week ago...), but didn't get far because it was raining, and most of them I got turned out pretty lousy. But here's Flury debating whether a leaf is edible or not. Her grumpy scowl makes me smile.

It's a beautiful pic of Flurry she is so photogenic. Thanks so much for sharing her pic.

We've been getting rain to. It's suppose to start today around 2. The ducks love it but the chickens and guineas aren't to happy about it.

I hope you have a nice day and the weekend is coming up.
