Plain yogurt as treat?

Can Iive my babies plain yogurt for a treat? They two weeks old!

I did and they loved it. Just a little on my finger and they went wild. You should probably make sure it's plain - not flavored or nonfat.
 
Plain yogurt is very beneficial to birds. It's a probiotic, so it gives them all those good gut bacteria that help keep them healthy. When they're full of good bacteria, they become very active and well...healthy!

I've tried a few times with mine- they just are not interested for whatever reason. they end up walking in it and making a mess but not eating any....
for some reason they act like I'm giving them poison when I try to give them treats- I dont get it.
 
My question is how do you clean them afterwards. Mine have yogurt all over their heads, backs, 2 stepped in it. My white leghorns are not white anymore! Between the dust baths, yogurt, watermelon over the last few days, they look horrible! Do they ever get cleaned up?
