Plank Challenge anyone????

Kass, once we hit 30, I am ok with adding another position or two. While not a regular daily routine (like getting my cup of coffee in the am), it is regular enough that I am getting in 4-5 times a week. That's pretty regular. Did you have some in mind?

I was thinking we should add positions that work other areas, which areas are most important to you back, butt, legs, balance or ............

Not able to do it tonight here at work, at least the whole set, may try and sneak in a regular plank

I learned something by accident last night. I didn't want to get on the floor and do the poses at work since I was freezing and it is really hard for me to get off the floor almost anytime, but especially in my work clothes. So I did them on the chair, and I liked it so much more. I think I am going to do them that way from now on. They are still challenging and hard and can still be made progressively harder, by lifting one leg or arm or movement through the pose, etc....

I will have a lot of catching up to do come January 1. I'm motivated by everyone's posts. If I cr#p out again, somebody needs to send me a PM to remind me that I really, really need to do this.

Kass - tell us more about using a chair. I'm not sure I know what you mean.

I am doing the exact same poses, only instead of getting on the floor, I place my hands on the seat portion of a chair that is against the wall so it can't move. It is a little easier to hold the pose and much easier not to have to get up off the ground, my floor is not carpeted so it is colder and less comfortable

And you did it anyway....

I would have said back - but the current exercise are helping it. Would have to say that butt is the next thing after that.
The light bulb went on...I was showing my mother what we do, and came across pics of the reverse plank. Well, I can do those (I think - haven't tried yet)! Somehow I had been thinking that it is the arch - which I can not do - so was doing a baby version of that. So New Year's plank resolution - try the CORRECT poses!

Back from my bowl game - Armed Forces Bowl (which Navy won!) and had a great time. Managed to get one set of planks done.
