yep I know grass won't last but I want to give them a natural treat since they can't free range where I am.
Set up those grow frames, grass frames.. whatever they are called.

Pretty much a deep picture frame with wire across it instead of a picture, so the chickens cant scratch up the grass roots and can only eat the grass blades that make it up past the wire.

You do not want the entire run like that, because scratching in dirt is good for chickens, but a frame or 2 are nice.

Cant tell from your drawings...

But I like stacking stuff, so feeder and nest box under poop tray, or entire under poop tray area an isolation/chick/broody cage.

I like big multiple hen nest boxes...

I really like the egg roll out community nest box I saw posted once (never made one,but I like the idea)

I love my huge trashcan pipe feeder.

I found a used 8 by 12 foot shed to convert into a coop. the existing coop will be connected to the new coop. I will be converting the birds to the trigger water cups (these- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01F17T9BW/?tag=backy-20 ).

(existing coop)

I cleaned out my existing coop an I am going to paint tomorrow (maybe). I will defiantly be building the roost and poop board. and possibly nest boxes.

Due to weather the coop might not be delivered this weekend. but that gives me time to work on the existing coop.

tomorrow.
but it (in my opinion) looks great. the new coop will not be delivered tomorrow due to the huge rain storm coming through. that won't stop me from working on the existing coop.

the bantams kept getting out of the barn so they are crammed in with the standards in the coop. I will be re doing the pop door tomorrow too and setting up a pen for the chickens with a tarp over the top so they don't get soaked
