plantar faciitis

I have had this a couple of times. The things that helped me were:

*Stretching (get a exercise band or make a loop with a belt to reach your toes if you need to)
*Good arch supports in ALL my shoes
*Spread a towel on the floor and ball it up with just your toes. When you get good at it put weight on the far end (shoes, food can)
*Stretching and putting weight on my feet when I have to sit for a while (it always hurt when I first got up unless I kept my feet flexible).

I only have "moments" of pain now weeks to months apart. It is possible to get better. Good Luck!

I have had this problem off and on for the last two years. It seems to be worse in the winter also. Last winter it was real bad, but after finding out exactly what it was and doing the stretching it seemed to get better. Plus I lost some weight and i think that helped a lot. This past Sept. I finally after 20 years of smoking finally quit the nasty habit

and I have gained back weight plus some

, now my feet are killing me again. The stretching before you get up thing helps sooooo much. If I dont do that I end up walking and holding onto every piece of furniture I can find. It hurts so bad, just like walking on a bed of nails. I am only 36 and I feel like Im 100
