Are you talking about shrink wrapping? That only happens if they go 12+ hours with low humidity during lockdown, & hatch day.

I keep a humidifier in the room where I am incubating. It is on continuously during lockdown. So if I do need to open the incubator I don't lose all the humidity.

Eggs SHOULD be laying on their side to hatch. Do not move them around since they have already gotten into position to hatch.

Nope, that's a classic myth that goes around alot. Shrink wrapping isn't something that happens instantly.

It's day 21. No activity whatsoever from any of the eggs. I know to give it a few days. The anticipation is too much!

You don't ever want to put something solid like paper towels on the floor grid of your incubators, even the 1/4" wire floors. It impedes the air flow over the water wells and will mess up your humidity. You never want to impede your air flow. They will be just fine as they are
