what would you use for a male brown leghorn? would you use Partridge, light brown?
well i figured that. but he is a dark brown roo. it's just fun to play with. thanks
best switch your first list to e^b/e^b then
I thought brown leghorns were essentially gold duckwing?
I thought you have both kinds. Do the pullets have salmon breast?
Brown is usually the word for e^b based and light brown for e+.
Dark brown then sounds like the former.
I think the 'dark' browns are eb with Mh.
US Light Brown Leghorns (Pullet breeders in the UK) are e+/e+ s+/s+ & possibly Di/Di
US Dark Brown Leghorns (Cockerel breeders in the UK) are eb/eb s+/s+ Mh/Mh & recessive melanisers.
i crossed brown leghorns with my RIRs. and i was trying to just see what they might grow to be.
here is one about four weeks. in my other post.
