When I was a young adult I worked at a store that had a field across the street. Guess what lived in that field? That's right. A whole herd of zebras.
Yes. This was in town. Smack on a major street. Not far from a Wal-mart and a public school.
The old man that had them eventually died or couldn't keep them anymore and the family sold them. He'd had zebras there for decades. I watched baby zebras grow up in the few years I worked there.
