Hen has not pooped for the past day! She's not broody either. She's eating less but still drinks a lot. Very active in the morning.
For the past few days she's been shaking her head frequently if that has anything to do with it. Currently, it's night and she's sleeping. She sometimes shivers and puffs up her feathers. She's also been losing several feathers recently. (not moulting)
What could be the reason? Where is all the food and water going?
A week or two ago but she's nearly 4 so she rarely lays them
Crop feels normal, mostly empty enough. Not sure where exactly the abdomen is but she looks normal. We give her bird pellets daily with the occasional rice/tomato/yogurt/ vitamin supplements. We've given her that since birth though.
Please post some photos of her and her poop. She already is active and eating a little. I'm giving her vitamin water
Ok update us pleaseThanks. I'll try it soon.
No photos of poop, since there aren't any. Doesn't seem to be in distress. Honestly, I think she's just pecking at her food, not eating much. No lice or mites. Please post some photos of her and her poop.
She's active and eating...
If she's active and eating, she's going to poop at some point unless her vent is blocked. Does she seem to be in distress?
Any lice or mites?
I would not soak or bath her if she's active and eating.
Not dangerous, just unnecessary.Would bathing her be dangerous if she's active ?
She pooped a small amount of green mushy poop and now she's enthusiastically eating the yogurt I gave. Still active and no other poops.Ok update us pleasegood luck
Of the hen ? She looks normal.Do you have photos?
