Please help chicken attacked by hawk (?).

Ok antibiotic ointment is the plain kind. Found this at Tractor Supply they didnt ha e much for chickens which surprised me, hope its ok. Will update after school.
If i use this spray and antibiotic ointment and doap and water will thsy be enough?
Yes, that is similar to Vetericyn, and is good to use on the wound twice a day. Then apply the plain Neosporin or Triple Antibiotic Ointment twice daily.

Sounds like you’re doing a great job caring for her.
The only thing I’d like to add is I’d like to see you leave the tea towel off of the wound. If the antibiotic ointment dries out over night and the skin weeps, it will stick and be painful to remove.

Also just a reminder to not use shavings in the crate you have her in.
A towel under her or puppy pads.
Keep up the good work.

X2. The wound should be left open. And a towel under her would be good.

Ok will remove when i get home. She has hay in the crate she is in when i left she had made a small nest in it. Will apply more ointment and spray when i get home. I have both asprin and meloxicam will put some in her water hopefully she will drink. Fingers crossed still at school.

Ok got home she has pooped and she ate scrambled eggs out of my hand. Not a lot 3 or 4 good bites. I melted the jr asprin in water as instructed in the article somebody posted for me and managed to get several drinks down her with a bulb syringe careful not to choke her, left clean water in the crate. Sprayed her with the wound care i got from Tractor Supply and put triple antibiotic ointment on her wounds. It was a nice sign to see her eat the eggs i hope she continues to fight. I have no ideal how she managed to fight off the hawk or why it didnt just snatch her up and fly off. From the looks she fought hard I pray she keeps fighting, maybe the rooster helped her.
