Oh my gosh ... they have grown soooooo much! They are gorgeous!
I love Light Sussex! I have 2, one male and one female. They are about 5 weeks old. I hope to get more of them. Do you have Coronation Sussex there? They are beautiful, also!

No, we only have light sussex and whatever glen and rose are. I think that they are a mix of EE and lohman, but I don't know

Do you think ours look much older then they should in comparison to yours? as everyone is saying they look a lot older then they are.

These are my 2 Light Sussex. They were hatched the last week of November.

Mine are looking "right" now. Yours have more black and the rooster has a larger comb and wattles. Thank you so much for posting those pictures it is amazing how much they have grown.

Today we realized that glen is a hen and rose is a rooster, so I don't know what we are going to do with their names now

and I am now chook sitting my cousins babys as they are going camping tomorrow. so now we have a place full of chooks, much to my familys disappointment

and also we are starting the chook pen tomorrow

I will take heaps of pictures, don't you worry.
I will be building the chook pen, yes.
I made the design at first but now we are changing it slightly. so far it looks like it is going to be good.
How much room do you have for each chicken?

Well, the recommended average (most say) is to figure 4 square feet per chicken. I have about 5 sq feet each. Hmmm, what's that in metric?
