Please help! Duck with limpy leg, bumble foot, wet feather

My vet recommended that I used straw (or even hay, but I found straw easier to work with). So that's what we used for outside in the barn. In the aviary our vet recommended grass, so we grew that. And when we had her inside we kept her on layers of 3-4 towels that I changed frequently. She was prone to bumble foot as well, and the thick soft substrate helped keep her warm and it prevented her from ever getting a bumble again. It does seem that substrate is not the cause of bumble foot in all ducks - but in mine it was.

When it was really cold out she just lived in our bathroom on the towels. Then I bought her a sweeter heater so she could go back out with her friends in the barn sometimes. It's really hard when they aren't water proof.
Thanks for the advice! Yes it’s tough I have her inside tonight from the snow.

At TSC there be is one it will say injectable but we give orally 1 ml over a treat just enough treat they get the whole dose. This one I ordered in line since I don’t have a TSC close. The nutritional yeast is 1 tablespoon per cup of feed. Are you soaking her foot IN Epsom salt water? What was the antibiotic? How old is Holly? View attachment 2988704
Hey! I just wanted to make sure, the dosage is 1 ml 1/day for the b complex right? That’s what I’ve been doing but unfortunately haven’t been seeing results. Thanks!

depending on how long this has been going will depend on how long it takes for the complex to kick in. And remember we have to try to help the only way we know-how and that is by elimination, by trying what we have seen others get help with leg issues. We can't say it Will work we just have to try.

Okay I’ll keep at it! Just wanted to make sure I was doing the correct dosage. Thanks!

Yeah she should be getting the most of it. I bought a dull tip syringe and inject it into strawberries and she eats them all up! Lol she loves strawberries! I’m worried it may be a different issue than niacin but idk what. The vet should have seen if it was arthritis on the x ray so I don’t think it’s that either.

Just want to chime in about the swelling, I keep comfrey salve in my duck first aid kit. Use it liberally and massage for about five minutes, no need to wrap anything if you don't want too. It's helped my girls a lot while dealing with bumbles and when they do silly things like try to fly.
Thanks! I’ve been using the green goo poultry first aid on her as well. It has comfrey in it, but other things too. Do you think the pure comfrey is more potent?
