Please help freaking out over larvae in chicken anything helps

There arent directions for chickens, but i know I can use it on them because my vet gave it to me. I think i'm just going to dilute it a little, if the vet gave it to me it should be a good amount of safe right? The directions for horses says spray until damp, not dripping.

Did your vet give this to you to use on this hen?

I think thats a good idea. Does it say its a concentrate or a ready to use spray, usually it will say. You can probably ask your vet about too.

Hi can you post an update. How did it go. This is all i have also and im having a terrible time with mites. Im covered and i used this on myself and it works. I have tried every mite killer at walmart for people. And nothing. As soon as i sprayed this on myself well 10 minutes after i could feel a difference. Obviously it doesnt feel nice at first because of all the open scratching wounds. I went all day today without scratching or feeling one bite. This stuff is amazing. Now i have to deal with the chickens. Did it work for yours? Did you water it down?

Welcome To BYC

The OP has not been on since July 2023, so they may not respond to you.

What product are you asking about? It's unclear since there's been several products mentioned in this thread as suggestions to help the OP rid their bird of Maggots (Fly Larvae) that invaded a wound (causing FlyStrike).

If you have mites on your birds, what treatment(s) have you tried? Have you treated birds AND housing? Mites mainly live in the housing and come out to feed at night, so treating the housing is an important step to take.
