How close are you to Purdue University? You can also email them with pictures. They have animal diagnostic labs...they did a necropsy for me. You might try getting help/answers that way. Poor girl...

BJ, I just spent 20 minutes looking at the Purdue web site...and can not for the life of me figure out who to contact. Can you help? Maybe im just slow today...so much going on around here...mother in Hosp, sick Turkey, DH sick...and now, the rain is coming in the basement! ENOUGH ALREADY!

She needs to drink... she probably hasnt been drinking all that much when she was feeling so poorly...
If you cant get it in time to a university or even a normal vet (within 24 hours) then my question would be >have you opened it to see what is inside ? If you can not get to a university then split in half and photograph and then put in freezer in a baggy in case you do find the proper info to get it to a necropsy lab ... the more photos the better.

obviously she was impregnanted by an alien an alien in search of a womb in order to reproduce their species easily on earth. and It did not work.. this is half chicken and half alien. perhaps they just implanted an embryo of their kind or a mixture of chicken and their kind.. either way..this time it did not work... notice to poster... lock ur windows at night..and stay inside til day time.. good luck..j dy

I sure hope you follow up on this with one of the universities. I know here we have Clemson Coop that helps with stuff like this. They are really great about it to. I hope you get an email response from someone who knows for sure about this. In all the time I've had chickens and was raised with chickens I saw alot of odd things, but I've never saw one do quite this...not and realized it was happening anyway.

Do you still have the tissue? To second what dlunicorn wrote, if you cut it in half and post lots of pictures we may be able to help identify exactly what parts of the reproductive tract she passed.

Im not sure I can! I almost fainted when I saw it fall out.

I have to go into town today...so maybe I will take it with me...in the back of the truck of course...and take it to the vet. He doesnt see poultry...so im not sure he will be of any help. Waiting to hear back from Peter Brown. Im headed out there in a few minutes, to see if she is still alive..and if she has eaten. Do you think I can put her back in with the other turkeys? Maybe thats why she wont eat??
