The path of food:
crop
proventriculus (the true stomach which has enzymes)
gizzard (contains grit, small stones)
small intestine
large intestine

I checked on her at 8 pm. She is just walking...standing...not really wanting to "settle in"

She can see her Tom, that might be why...but I have no other place for her...thats free from chickens or thier poo.

Now if only I can get her to eat something.

looks to me like the oviduct, and possibly the ovary..


I think I'd be tempted to send these pictures to a veterinary university, such as MSU, for example.

I'd also tend to think she had a bad infection, causing the expulsion...and most likely needs to be considered for treatment with antibiotic.

whatever it is, I hope she'll be ok..watch closely.

I'd definitely give her some electrolytes and vitamins.
