Good grief. We have a run that is about 20x14 at the widest. I bought hardware cloth for the sides and the top.Is it suppose to be woven together somehow to prevent gaps? The workman overlapped the cloth by a good 5 inches but I am sure something could get in????

Some people use fender washers to hold the hardware cloth onto the posts.

How do you handle layering the cloth....I am not sure how to describe what I am trying to do except to say that the two sections of horizontal cloth need to be sewn together. How is this accomplished?

Your going to have to space 2x4s and stretch it so it's tight

Wherever there is a join, you would need a 2x4 and use fender washers to attach one square from the first row of one piece and one square from the last row in the other piece, to the 2x4. That way there really won't be a visible seam and nothing will be able to get in.
