Please Help! Hen acting listless, has a pale comb and diarrhea

Okay I'll keep the E. coli in mind, thank you TwoCrows and casportpony. We called the vet and he thinks it is probably a GI infection. He said if we want we can bring the chicken in and he'll run tests, but I don't think I should transport her when she's like this. The vet said that if she doesn't make it he can run tests so we can be positive what killed her.

Ask your vet if you can bring a sample of poop by for him to do a gram stain. From that he should be able to tell if she has a bacterial infection and be able to suggest an antibiotic. Cost of a gram stain should be no more than $30.

Definite get a vet involved if you can. A poop sample is a good idea and can tell a vet a lot about what is going on.

I sure hope you can save her!

Okay, my mom already went to the vet and he gave her Sulfa antibiotic and a dose of wormer. She's the same as she was earlier, she's been drinking a ton of water so at least I know she's not dehydrated. If she doesn't improve I'll have one of my parents bring in some poop so the vet can do the gram stain. She's going to spend the night in a pet porter in my room so the tempature stays at about 70 degrees and doesn't fluctuate.
