Please help, I am at my wits end ☹️

Yeah let me go catch her and try to get a better pic. Sorry the first ones were not that good. :hmm
Photographing a chicken isn’t easy.
Use your front facing camera. Not the selfie one.
Tap the screen on the area that you want the camera to focus. Take a bunch in good lighting then choose the best ones.

It’s okay. We are always around.

Is she rubbing against a nest box or perch? Treating with a powder for lice might be a good idea for a couple of days anyway.
Or putting herbs in the bedding/nesting boxes. This will help deal with bugs and will do no harm to the hens; in fact they enjoy to rub their feathers in it and the essential oils in it are good for them. They also like to eat them!

My hen Hei Hei seems to be balding on the area below her chest.

She has dandruff, I checked her along with the rest of the flock for lice and mites but didn’t see anything. She’s the only one that has this .
Different photos would be helpful.
You mention that it's below her chest - is it along her keel bone - possibly wearing off feathers from how she is roosting? Just a guess.

Dandruff - still very hard to tell in the photos, but does she have some pin feathers coming in? Is it dandruff you see or could it be keratin that is shedding from new feathers coming in?

:fl

Hopefully these ones are better. I wish my boyfriend wasn’t out of town on business or I would have some help! Haha

yes it’s along her keel bone. I had to google it to make sure that was the correct term. I apologize for my lack of knowledge I feel like I should have since I have my 7 girls. I love them like someone loves their children, so I’m always eager to learn everything and anything about them!

Definitely going to have to do all of the listed above. Thank you so kindly!
