Please help its an emergency

I have a chicken egg that pip on day 21 in the wrong spot. I waited 12 hours no progress no chirp. I removed a tiny piece of shell, careful not to damage the membrane. I seenwhat looks like a piece of wing through slightly but no beak. But i hear chirp .I opened the shell over the air cap only and never break either membrane but it looks mostly brown and he chirps ever time I walk in the room and u can see him trying to get out and I wanna help but afraid I'll kill him but he's been chirping for 24 he's now pip bout 36. Help or no.

I would help further if the membrane was brown, go slow and if you see blood stop.

I only say help because of the brown membrane.

If it is brown, it is probably drying out. I would moisten it up with some coconut oil.

Can you post a pic of your progress so far? Depends on where the pip was, and what it looks like, whether I would help more or not.

one person got the coconut oil idea mixed up and put it all over unpipped overdue egg shells, the eggs did not hatch

I would put water on the membrane .

I used a damp cloth to wet membrane. Got him all most completely out just a little shell mem on his butt but I seen blood so I quit. The only problems is he's breathing and wiggleing and chirping. But not standing up. I was under the impression once theyre out they up and run.
