Please help me!!! my hen is lethargic with undigested grains and yellow urates in poop

I'm sorry... the only thing I can suggest if the exploration of medications is out of the question is possibly some probiotics. Ideally, a powdered probiotic, but if this cannot be obtained, maybe small amounts of plain yogurt, or some (milk) kefir grains.

This may not help her, if her problems are more serious (they sound like they are) but I suppose that probiotics can't hurt at this point.

I give her powdered probiotics ( I started to give these for for a month ago). I will continue with the herbal treatment because this for sure won't hurt her like antibiotics and other drugs and the effects will appear after a while, not after a few days. I hope she will be fine soon.

I am hoping for the best, for both of you! I don't know what herbal remedies might help with this particular problem, so I can't offer good help. I will be thinking of you, though, and wish you all my best!

Thank you very very much, Nambroth! Your support means a lot for me! I will announce you with my girl's evolution and I really hope that it will be good news!

Yesterday, my little gril died in my arms after 3 months of suffering . I will never forget Doris who was more than a pet to me, she was my best friend ever!!! I will never raise chickens or other animals again because nobody could never replace her! She will remain in my heart forever as my little baby! She was the pet that I wanted since I was a little child (now I have 23 years old) and I can't believe that I lost her so soon. She was so clever, sensible, delicate and so attached to humans that she don't wanted to stay and play with other chickens when we went at the country side, she stayed only with us, her family!
I will never forget her eyes begging me to take her in my arms where she always felt safe and loved. I this way she wanted to leave me and to go to God where she finally found her peace near her brother, Bondo, and they will wait for me to meet again in Heaven where we will live together for the eternity!

And I am sure that she is expecting me at the RAINBOW BRIDGE!!!

God rest in peace Doris!!!

So sorry , Doris. Sometimes we never know what made them sick. I think you should give yourself time to mourn, and get another pet chicken. Not to replace her, but it's like having more than one child. You love them all.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Yet, I am happy that both you and your hen got to experience one another's lives, which is a special thing. Thank you for helping her!
