Please help me with my sick girl

I just lost one of my Cream Legbars several days ago the EXACT same way! Now your story makes me even more convinced it is a genetic issue relating to egg-laying. Mine had also just started laying recently and seemed to go in and out of being healthy for a month before BAM last week I went into the coop in the morning and she was just dead on the floor of the barn, looking asleep in a corner. It was very sad and I have not been able to bring myself to open her up and inspect her anatomy but I guess I should.
Did you notice if her eyes had been consistently half-open? Mine had her eyes like that for atleast a month, maybe longer.

Yep, the first time I noticed she was not feeling well her eyes were partly closed and she was fluffed up and slower than normal. This lasted for several days and she did get worse and weaker to the point where I was forcing her to have water and food. Her comb looked very dry and I couldn't figure out what might be wrong, and I was fearing the worst but she suddenly got better... That was a couple weeks ago, and she went back to seeming normal before the sudden decline and passing away.

That’s so odd. I’m going to post the necropsy pics now, I hope they help somehow.

**GRAPHIC PICTURES OF NECROPSY**
Here are the pictures. I’m not sure what we’re looking at here, my husband spoke faster than I could process. I know the mustard yellow stuff was under the crop, when he cut into the crop, and at the anus. Also, the crop had a yeasty smell, which my husband said could be some grain? Also, the gizzard was very compacted and smelled as well. There was a weird bulge in what maybe was intensities, with the contents on the table. It looked like poop, but he said the intestines looked empty. Please tell me what you all are seeing. A fluid dropped out of the neck, I think it could have been the nutridrench. There was blood in her ear, we think it’s when she was having convulsions inside the crate and hit her poor little head. I’m sorry, the pics aren’t in order. My husband said the discoloration on the lungs was because she has been dead for a couple hours.

The compacted food definitely might have done it... I am not qualified enough to be sure though. I have processed a decent number of chickens but they had all been fasting so they had no food and so I am not sure what a normal situation would look like in that area but certainly if she had a compacted crop that can be toxic. Thank you so much for posting the results of your necropsy and although my bird was already many hours gone and was put in the freezer I might thaw her and see if she suffered a similar issue. The age and breed could just be coincidence and since we both have Cream Legbars they presented illness in a similar way.
