Well if it was just the wound I'd be more optimistic, but he may have broken his back since his motor function hasn't improved whatsoever...he is in high spirits and acts fine other than his physical issues.
I am more than willing to work on him but a couple weeks ago I had a terrible coon problem that put some pretty horrific injuries on my chickens (one leg completely missing with maggots the other's head was literally scalped). I tried to save them with antibiotics & tlc but they ended up dying. I just hate it when helping doesn't cure & they die anyway, then I feel like they were in misery longer than they should've been...then if I eithenize I have regrets as to "what if they could've pulled through."
Ugh what a tough decision I have to make!
