I hope that shows the pic, in the pic he's drinking where I moved him to his food out of his box...

If you have olive oil on hand use it. I have a friend whose rabbit had fly strike in her ear a couple of weeks ago and was close to death. The olive oil smothered the maggots, killing them and the rabbit Is doing just fine. The oil will also sooth your bird's irritated skin.

I had a hen that looked like that, I think she broke her hip flying out of her fence after I cliped all their wings on one side. Her legs did move but she never did get up. After a week I put her down.

Omg the maggots hatche'd & there's MILLIONS, ugh!

This was the wound I found on my turkey, sorry for the nasty graphic picture. It was full of thousands of maggots and they were burrowing into her flesh. I went to TSC and got "Swat" a fly repellant wound ointment for horses. The maggots literally backed out of her and threw themselves off, she was maggot free after a couple of hours. Prior to getting the Swat I tried to suffocate them by applying a super thick coating of Vaseline, however it did not even phase them. I will never be caught without Swat again. I'll attach the whole series of pics so you can see how well she healed up.

That's what I'm wondering, poor guy...he has feelings he just can't walk or coordinate himself. Thanks for your experience

As I understand maggots do not eat living flesh. Hospitals use maggots to eat dead flesh off of burn patients wounds.
