Please help my Silkie is Lethargic!

Did you hatch this chick yourself? Possibly it was still absorbing the yolk from its belly? That will have them a bit tired too. Have a warm spot where they sleep and cool spot where they eat and drink.

I got them from a breeder at 1 week old I've had them for 4 days now

Oh these are over a week old..I understand. Possibly a bit too warm.

I have thermometer it reads 89 90 on one side and I just moved it to the other side to check the temp so the other side should be 75?

You measured temp on the floor of the brooder?
That should be fine.

Sometimes chicks suffer failure to thrive too. It's not from anything you did wrong but something wrong with the chick. Hope it gets better..

Thank you. She is peeping quite a bit now and walking around a bit she keeps wiping her back across the floor frequently. I'll update later

Wash her butt again and use a q-tip with Vaseline on her butt.
Use warm water.

coconut oil is a very good thing to keep in a chicken first aid kit. Besides using it to clean and lubricate vents, you can give it to a constipated chick and it can save a life.

I also use coconut oil to dress wounds and to cure skin fungus. It's also a very useful oil to help break up impacted crops.

The most convenient thing about coconut oil is the solid form is so much easier and safer to administer to a chicken without getting more oil on the outside of the chicken than inside, and it practically eliminates the danger of the chicken aspirating the oil during the struggle.
