Please help

@ButteCA have you had ducklings before?
If you haven't then, although I like you're idea, I think you will quickly learn that the priority will be keeping up with their rapid growth and keeping them clean! They are little poop machines!
I would be interested in hearing your ideas though, maybe if you started a new thread, but it might be better to think of it as a 'playground' they visit to play but spend most of their time in an easy to clean brooder set up.
Oh yes you are right! I do have ducks but I put them in a large rubber tub I can spray out because you’re right they splash and slash a lot. I didn’t even think about that. I’m sure there are cool ideas out there for ducks though.

I got my ducklings as a gift unexpectedly though. If I had had more time to prepare for them or if I ever got more in the future since I didn’t know what to expect now when I definitely would have added some stuff to the big bin that I keep them in. Maybe a viewing window on the front where the kids could see them instead of leaning over them like hungry wolves which seems to scare them. It’s a pretty big bin that they are in and I was able to fit a bigger dish in there and fill it with water and they love to play in that. Probably not safe for a newborn duck though that could come later. They definitely need something with high walls. Mine can splash things at least a foot high so definitely deeper than 12 inches.

Oh, so you're not incubating eggs right now? I thought it said you were, sorry.
Have you done a search for brooder ideas? how old are your little ones?

Not duck eggs. Chicken eggs. Chicks do not splash in water nearly as much as ducklings though.I’m not sure how old they were when I got them. I have had them since probably the last week of March. I had four but my cat took out two.

I looked at some photos online and the air pocket is definitely getting larger I removed the auto turning tray so it does move the eggs at all for the last few day
